Very nice house with nice terraces and a beautiful view of the sea and the hills. The only thing missing are bowls or mugs for breakfast. The access road is in poor condition and needs to be made safer. Make sure you choose a vehicle suitable for the last kilometers! The host and hostess are very friendly!

Beautiful accommodation, close to train station with good links to Cordoba and Seville

Although the accommodation is not directly on a motorway, many areas in Andalusia are still easily accessible. It is a good idea to take some extra time for this, because the country roads are narrow, winding and often poorly paved. We did not have to drive on unpaved roads. Upon arrival at the accommodation you are welcomed by a beautiful new holiday home, which is beyond reproach. We did not mind at all. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the view of the green landscape. There are not many shopping facilities nearby. It is therefore advisable to take the presence of supermarkets into account during your excursions. In Antequera you will find the usual supermarkets with a wide selection. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and contacted us via WhatsApp. In this way the language barrier was removed. It was a wonderful week in all respects and we can highly recommend the holiday apartment.

For us it was the perfect holiday. Absolute peace, 100% privacy. Well equipped house, we have nothing missing. The landlady is super friendly, but speaks only Spanish.

We had a lovely holiday. The situation was very good for sightseeing and walking. The house was well equipped and comfortable. It had a lovely garden area for relaxing. Josie was a very professional owner.

The house is wonderfully quiet and has a beautiful view. The downside is that you always have to go up and down that mountain, the road is narrow, bumpy and winding. But you get used to it quickly and we knew this in advance. The house itself was very cold and dark (March/April), but we always sat in the conservatory, which was very comfortable with a bit of sun. For cold evenings, an electric heater was placed in the conservatory, and the air conditioning in the bedroom also heats. I would advise staying in the house with a maximum of 4 people during the cold months, as the sofa in the house and in the conservatory are not designed for 6 people. Outside there are also 4 chairs and 4 sun loungers + the large lounger. The supermarkets are closed on Sundays, but a few local shops are open for basic needs. We were able to walk a lot in the area, and visited all kinds of nice places. Carlos, the owner, is fluent with Google translate and despite the language barrier, communication went smoothly. We arrived hours before the agreed time and when we let Carlos know, he arrived immediately and we were allowed into the house. Very flexible. He usually responded quickly on whats-app and a problem with a kettle was solved adequately. We had a great holiday. I already miss my morning coffee in the sun, with the view over the valley and the wonderful smell of the orange blossom.

I can recommend the accommodation and the provider.

We find it a very unpleasant and uninviting house. The living room is dark and cold. There is a fireplace, but you have to stay by it. Dangerous to go outside when it is burning. Bad lighting, bad couch, bad shower room, no telephone reception. The owner does not speak a word of English.

A wonderful weekend in good company, the surroundings were beautiful and the hostess was very friendly. The only disadvantage was that there were only two bathrooms with shower downstairs and only one bathroom (without shower) upstairs for all the bedrooms. There is no more space, but that should be indicated in the description so that we know what we are getting into.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't pleasant for the first two weeks, but there's nothing you can do about it. Otherwise, the stay was very pleasant. More needs to be said about access to the house. Getting there will be difficult without a larger car.

Everthing okay

To reach this gem you have to travel 1.2 km on a dirt road, which takes about 8 minutes. However, this was no problem. We had a large bus with 9 seats. We liked the view, the peace and the layout of the property so much that we would have liked to stay longer.

We spent four weeks here, the weather was the worst, wettest four weeks in Spanish history since 1929. Even so we enjoyed our holiday immensely. We had some of Paco’s home grown produce and avocados from the trees. Would happily return.

Good location near the water and the town of Torrox. The outdoor area is very nice but, the unusual rainy weather we had did not allow us to enjoy it much. There is an apartment above, and when this unit is occupied, there is some noise from the occupants.

A super nice house, great beds, with a nice pool and many possibilities to sit outside. In a beautiful location, so quiet and with a fantastic view. But also in Torrox or at the beach. And nice places nearby. Only the way up was a bit of a challenge, but we got used to that quickly. We were there for more than 4 weeks, and really regretted having to go home again. The owner 'Manuel' is super friendly and helpful. When we arrived there was a bowl of delicious fruit ready and a welcome package. The communication via Translate was also great. We look back on a great time in this beautiful part of Spain.

We returned for the third year, the accommodation is very well maintained, our hosts are extremely charming and always caring; we will return.

The owners were kind and attentive and dealt with any requests quickly and in a hassle free manner. The accommodation had everything we needed.

This rental accommodation is ideal for lovers of nature and human contact.

We spent a whole month in this beautiful house and were absolutely delighted! 🌿🏡 The view is simply stunning: the valley, the sea, the mountains… like a postcard every day. The hosts, Montse and Antonio, were incredibly kind and helpful and took excellent care of us. The house itself is spacious, cozy, and superbly equipped: there really is everything you need for a comfortable stay. A perfect place to enjoy nature, especially in the warmer months. However, if you come in winter, there are a few things to keep in mind. The house is located in the mountains above Frigiliana, and temperatures here are a few degrees cooler than on the coast. At times, we were literally on cloud nine while the sun shone down below. There is no central heating, but there is a wood-burning stove and an electric radiator. We stocked up on warm clothes and spent cozy evenings by the fire. However, this house is a true paradise for anyone seeking peace, stunning nature, and spectacular views. We're so grateful to Montse and Antonio for their hospitality and attentiveness. If you love the mountains and fresh air, this is the perfect place for you! 💛

We had a wonderful time in this accommodation. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and was neat. We really enjoyed the peace, the view, the beautiful nature and the beautiful villages around the house. The house itself is also fully equipped, which contributed to a relaxing stay. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. He was always ready to support where necessary, which we found very pleasant. Despite the bad weather, which meant that the pool could not be heated, it was still a wonderful place to be. Everything is fenced and the children and dog could safely play and run around. The central location also makes it easy to discover all kinds of beautiful places in the area, and the road to the house is easily accessible. In short: highly recommended, and we would definitely like to come back again!

The experience at this house was fantastic, and the owner was amazing! We were a group of friends and had a great time. The views from the house are incredible, and the access to the house is also convenient. We will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed the house and the surroundings

I had no problems with the property, just getting there. The first evening I couldn't find my way in the dark and had to hike through the mountains for two hours. The owners rescued me from a difficult situation and drove me back to the house in my rental car. They were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely Wonderful experience, house was brought in to the perfection. Never been in such a clean conditions specially comparing to the hotels. Everything was in and around the house,if we don’t want to we’ll don’t have to leave the house for all week. Kids was spending hours every day in lovely,clean and Heated swimming pool. Play area was excellent,poll table,soccer table,ping pong table,trampoline,swing and everything else kept kids entertained all the time. The Host absolutely a gentleman. Definitely we will comeback in the near future too the same place. Strongly recommend. Thank you for such a wonderful experience in Andalusia for my family.

Beautiful location, but a bit remote

The managers Pepi and Antonio are great. Always ready for you! In the summer the accommodation is highly recommended. The brochure states that in addition to the fireplace there is also a heater (in addition to the one in the bedrooms). This heater is not there. We sat in the living/dining room kitchen in the evening at a temperature of 17 degrees, terrible. We had chosen the house specifically because it had heating.

We had a great weekend with the family. The location is great, the view is breathtaking. Spacious rooms, perfectly equipped for the cold.

We stayed here in January, February and March. A nice house with lots of privacy, spacious enclosed garden where there is sun all day. Everything you need is present in the house and the garden. The car is also on its own enclosed property. A small piece of unpaved road but very easy to reach. Tomatoes and other vegetables are grown next door and that process is also very nice to experience and the people are very friendly. The owner does his very best to make you feel at home and responds immediately if you have any questions. We had a great time and felt safe at this place. 5 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Lidl and Aldi also nearby.

We stayed at El Cancelin for two months. The house's handover and checkout went very smoothly. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, even taking care of mail and packages. The house itself is well-maintained and clean. The location is ideal as a base for various activities. However, you should have a car or at least a bicycle, as the shops are not within walking distance. The owners' son is a veterinarian, so we felt well looked after, even with our Welsh Terrier. Once a week, the owner checks on the pool and grounds and tends to the plants. We felt right at home.

It’s a lovely little house, and José is a great host. The road to get there was fine to drive with a rental car.

The house was very nice, very clean, spacious, and had a lovely outdoor area! It had everything you could wish for. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the pool because it was too cold and raining. The living room is very cold when it's not particularly warm outside. But we had an electric heater, which helped a bit. We also lit the wonderful fireplace. Each bedroom has an air conditioner, which you can also use to make the room a bit warmer. The drive to the house was interesting, and you do need a car with a bit of a raised deck. The road is a kind of dirt track in parts, but you quickly get used to it. The view from the house and the grounds was fantastic. Communication with the landlady was also great and flawless. She was very friendly and always helped directly via WhatsApp.

It was a perfect weekend away. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the pool because of the weather. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and very hospitable. The mattress was also very comfortable. It was definitely a success!

Stayed for 2 weeks in the villa. Nice views over the golf course and surrounding hills. Villa is well equipped with everything you need and very spacious. Antequera is a convenient base to explore the wider region. There is a contact person via WhatsApp in the event of any issues. Overall, a good and relaxing stay, albeit our stay coincided with a series of storm systems across Spain for the duration, which meant we didn't fully utilise the outside space.

The villa was super - lovely and very well kept. It was unseasonably cold when we were there so we did not use the pool area at all. Be aware that there are access issues to the villa if you have a large car- but it can be parked on the road and you can then walk to the villa.

Not for the faint hearted! The drive down a single width mountain road is challenging! Peaceful stay. Beautifully designed house and pool.

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful villa in Arenas. Jose, the very friendly and correct owner is a top person who was always there for us. The surroundings and the view are amazing. The only thing you hear in the morning is the sound of the birds. The house is large and excellently furnished, although there are a few small things that need replacing. The swimming pool is also great, which we even enjoyed in February. If you go in winter, take into account cold evenings and nights, so make sure you wear warm clothes. Arenas is easy to reach on foot, but the road is steep downhill (and back uphill). Velez-Malaga is a fifteen-minute drive on a good road, Torre del Mar (beach) is about 25 minutes. Tip: bring your racing bike! The area is truly a paradise for cyclists, as long as you like a bit of climbing. The area is also very suitable for walking. In short, an absolute must!

Had an absolutely brilliant time with the whole extended family. We travelled with my two year old son, my sister and brother in law and my parents and all absolutely loved the place and surrounding city. We have been travelling to Torre del Mar almost every year up until about 10 years ago and coming back for a reunion holiday was absolutely perfect. Moisés, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful with anything we needed from shopping trolleys to some help with the door locking mechanism. Can't recommend this gem of house enough.

We loved everything about the house, which has everything you need for a relaxing stay, and the surroundings. We also really enjoyed the local cuisine; we had a wonderful time. And Beatriz, the owner, was very kind and always available if we needed anything.

Lovely hosts, who made us feel very welcome. Maria provided a fabulous plate of tapas and a lovely bottle of wine on our first evening , which was much appreciated after a long day of travelling. The house was spotless and well appointed and the outdoor space was lovely, lots of areas to relax in and a great covered bbq area. Much appreciated when the weather proved inclement… we had several barbecues despite the rain! Great location for visiting the beautiful white villages and for walking in the mountains where you can without fail always see eagles and vultures soaring. And of course lovely Ronda and the charming town of Ariate, with several excellent restaurants , were a great bonus.

Very nicely situated holiday home. Especially in warmer months with the accompanying swimming pool a topper.

We had a lovely stay at this place. Views are breathtaking and the two owners Patricia and Sergio are lovely, very attentive and caring. One small thing to keep in mind: there is a highway near the house, which comes with noises that are noticeable when sitting outside on the terrace only. One gets used to it quite quickly though and the views make up for it!

A beautiful, very clean house with a wonderful outdoor seating area, which we unfortunately couldn't use due to the bad weather. The last 1.4 km to the house are arduous, but definitely doable!

We had a very nice stay at the 'Villa del Olivo'. A beautiful home with a stunning view. With a combination of the Pool, jacuzzi, amazing terrace and veranda we always had something to do. The only small note we have is that the drive up to the house is probably not for the beginner or insecure driver, there are a few steeper climbs to take, but nothing dangerous. :)

We spent 2 weeks in the beautiful house. The interior and exterior are beautifully designed and the view is breathtaking. Unfortunately we had many rainy days, so we could not use the sun loungers and the pool. The communication with the owner was excellent and José welcomed us with a bottle of wine. We can recommend the house 100% and will definitely book it again.

Due to the bad weather we were forced to stay indoors a lot, so we really enjoyed the spacious and wonderfully warm house.

This place is a true gem, the history behind the house is very cool, ask the owners. It is a bit out of the way from things, but it is worth it for the scenic views and tranquility of the property. Clean and spacious, the water gets very hot and the beds are comfy. The small town of El Gastor is the closest near by. Everything closes during the day for a few hours, so sometimes it was difficult to find a place to eat. We went to a resturant off of highway A-374 but I can't remember the name of it, we ate there twice and it was fantastic. It was about a 12-15min drive from the property and doesn't close during the day. We easily traveled by car to nearby cities: Ronda (30 min), Seville (1.5 hrs), and Sentinel (30min). Highly recommend!

We had such a nice stay here! A unique property with great views of the surrounding hills. Our kids enjoyed the peacocks, chickens and cats around the property. Jose, the owner, has done an amazing job with this place!

Beautifully situated villa with beautiful garden.

We felt comfortable in the house. The sometimes very bad weather somewhat spoiled our holiday experience. We felt well cared for by the owners. When the dishwasher broke down, it was replaced immediately. Compared to other accommodations in the area, the trip is stress-free. Car can be parked safely behind a fence.

From our perspective, the house was built and maintained with care. We found it a perfect base for excursions. We were visited by a friendly local cat who made our stay extra enjoyable.

The house and especially the outdoor area are truly beautiful. There was certainly enough space for four people. The cleaning was excellent everywhere. During our stay in March 2025 it rained in Andalusia, much to our regret, so we didn't go outside as much as we had hoped, but of course the owners can't do anything about that :-)

We had a much better weekend than expected. The house and the location exceeded our expectations. El Gastor is a beautiful town with a gastronomy that was a real discovery. We'll try to return another time.

Everything perfect

We had a wonderful 6-weeks stay. The view was amazing and the location was great; only a 10 minutes drive to the beach area and grocery stores in Torrox Costa. We appreciated the good and stable Wi-Fi that the villa offered. The kitchen inventory could be a little better, though. The porch and sun loungers were good and seemed to be new. Miguel (the owner) allowed us to pick lemons and oranges from his garden behind the house and sometimes he dropped by with beautiful avocados. The steep driveway from the road to the villa takes a little getting used to. Once you've done it a few times, it's OK.

We stayed in this beautiful rural house because we had many rainy days, and it was still a pleasant experience. It's a house perfectly insulated from the cold. We were caught by the snowy mountains and were able to enjoy the fireplace as well. From the living room armchairs (very comfortable) and the master bedroom, you can see the beautiful views of this house. The kitchen has direct access to the barbecue, which we appreciated due to the rain, another plus. The bed is extremely comfortable, the house very clean, and we also appreciated that it has enough tablecloths, tea towels, and household items. We loved that they included a heated towel rack, as we spent a week in heavy rain and cold, and it met all our needs. We definitely hope to return to enjoy the pool and the walks in the countryside, which was green and beautiful. Although we were able to walk around the surrounding area one morning, we were left wanting more. Silvia and her partner treated us very well and were attentive to us from the moment we arrived until our last day. I thought they were excellent hosts (they also gave us a very special bottle of sweet wine typical of Cómpeta).

Finca is lovely, owners are just amazing but sadly the weather let us down this time. Never have we known rain like it in March and on some days it just never stopped. We love to just explore the local area and sit by the pool in the sunshine but it wasn’t shining this time Happy to say we are back in a few weeks and have booked 3 more trips

Fantastic, definitely worth repeating.

The accommodation is very well located. It is spacious and comfortable.

Overall, it was good, but we had some problems getting into the house that were out of our control, as they left the keys inside, and we had to wait hours for another family member to bring another set of keys. We contacted the owner a few days before to see if we could change the dates, as she had issued a rain warning. She told us it wasn't possible and that "it had never rained there." On the day, the rain forecast turned out to be accurate: water got under the door of the house. We had to cram into one house, 4 couples with 5 small children, because it wasn't even possible to stay on the porch due to the weather conditions.

The reception, the space, the location, the owner immediately available for questions, everything clean, lovely jacuzzi, outdoor pool, swimming pool, pool table, table tennis table, various rooms, you want to come back here in the future!

Our host made our stay very pleasant. Unfortunately we had quite bad weather (as can be in march) so we did some sightseeing, tried different restaurants and played some table tennis. Whenever we could we sunbathed on the upper patio, a really nice place to hang out. In the evenings I went jogging and then we streamed movies and lit a fire in the fireplace. The WiFi was excellent.

We have had another wonderful 4-week holiday on the new estate of José and his family. The estate and the location are beautiful. The equipment meets all requirements and is very comfortable. You feel at home. We lacked nothing. The outdoor area is also very beautiful. The estate and the outdoor area are beautifully connected. We would love to come back again.
