We have been there during the long weekend of New Year's Eve and the truth is that the house is great It has all kinds of amenities. The town (Competa) is only 5 minutes away by car. The road that leads to the village is curved, without lights and without a verge, so walking is not possible. As an improvement they should fence the property lines. We had a dog and we were afraid that he would run away, especially because the road was so close. Attention and the house of 10. We will repeat

I wanted to relax and was looking for a quiet place. The house is located in a perfect place for those looking for peace, nature and relaxation. The house is very well equipped and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

As other reviewers have commented, Sebastian is a lovely host and the accommodation is extremely charming. We arrived at 11 pm in December and he had lit a huge fire and there was a pizza ready to go in the oven. He grows the best oranges! As well as being delightful, the location is great for hiking. You can drive to Refuge de Juanar (La Concha and Cruz de Juanar), Cerro Prietta, Tolox and Junquera in less than 30 minutes and Mijas (the mountain that fills the view from the poolside) in 35. We stayed 9 days and did 9 great walks! We recommend Komoot for finding hikes in this area.

Perfect for a climbing holiday, good for walking directly from the estate, although walking in this part of Spain is not that "widespread". , the culinary offer in the area is rather poor, the restaurant Rocabella directly on site disappointed us quite a bit, it is necessary to stock up / better stock up in Álora (Mercadona), take warm slippers in winter!

Very spacious and pleasant holiday home in an attractive location between Nerja and Frigiliana. Very nice outdoor area and fully equipped, with some weaknesses in the kitchen. Local amenities very good, the access and property entrance a little challenging, but ultimately no problem. All in all, highly recommended.

A detached house with a large swimming pool surrounded by olive trees - wonderful! The view of the reservoir is incredibly beautiful despite the low water level. In cold December/January, heating the house with air conditioners and a fireplace is a bit critical - you shouldn't get a severe frostbite. But the view makes up for it all!

A great location to explore Andalusia. A lovely rustic home in the midst of olive groves. A well appointed kitchen for preparing local gastronomy. A gracious, helpful, wonderful host! Ten Stars!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Raul. The location is close to Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa del Sol, and is about a 15-minute lovely walk along a concrete path. The house is cozy, clean, and offers everything you need. The view of the sea and the city of Frigiliana is fantastic. The area surrounding the house is green and beautiful, with plenty of avocado, orange, papaya, and lemon trees. There is as much privacy as you need, and no one comes by unless necessary. The place is very quiet during the day and at night. The beds were very comfortable, with excellent mattresses. We enjoyed the BBQ as well. The kitchen is equipped with a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, a dishwasher, and other amenities. The living room has a cozy fireplace. There is air conditioning in both the living room and the main bedroom, but not in the extra room with two single beds. However, it doesn't get too cold, so sleeping there is very comfortable even without A/C. Driving to and from the house is not too difficult, but you need to be experienced with driving and comfortable with hills. The last part of the road is too narrow for two cars, so you need to be cautious. For us, the drive was no problem at all. Everything was perfect, and we will definitely come back for sure!

The finca was clean and well maintained. Everything was perfect. We were happy with the great view and the outdoor area with the many seating and lying options. Even at the end of December you can see the sun setting in the sea and you have sun from 9am in the morning. We had beautiful weather during our stay. The drive to the house is steep, but manageable, even with our VW Transporter in first gear. We also really liked the fireplace inside and enjoyed it in the evening. The oven is as good as new - the only thing that can be criticized is the dishwasher. The village of Algarrobo is also within easy walking distance, where there are bakeries and small supermarkets. We recommend!

Super nice and warm communication with the owner. We really enjoyed the spotlessly clean and very well located house (view). The kitchen equipment could be a little better. The accessories for grill, salad bowl, egg cup and gratin dish are missing. But that was not a problem because we bought what we needed ourselves.

Villa is nice and cozy, beautiful view from porch. Plenty space. To closest town is 5 min driving. Small part of the road is like off road, it was fun,but the best if you have bigger car. Overall holiday was brilliant. No neighbours close,perfect spot for privacy looking families/friends.

The setting is very nice and completely isolated from neighbors and noise. The houses are very large and have several fireplaces and sofas. It was quite cold but the fireplaces quickly warmed the houses. Showers with plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Very friendly hosts.

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the accommodation is simply excellent, quiet and well located for easy access to everything. The welcome by the owner was very good. They were not only extremely friendly, but also always helped us and gave us valuable advice about the area. The property itself is in excellent condition, very well maintained and designed with great attention to detail. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired, everything was of good quality. We felt completely at ease and would love to come back. Absolute recommendation for anyone looking for relaxation in a perfect environment!

The environment

Very pleasant stay, the house was fantastic, although we didn't like the surroundings very much. 15 minutes away you have nice areas to visit, but you have to take the car.

Our experience was very good, the owner was very friendly from the first moment, he even managed to arrange where we could order our New Year's Eve dinner.

It was our first time in Torrox and we were pleasantly surprised how stable and nice the weather was. Quite cool in the morning and evening but clear blue sky and sunshine during the day. Perfect weather for walking, we had no problem finding new and exciting tours every day.

We stayed here with three adult couples during New Year's Eve. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which makes it very nice. We were initially worried that the accommodation would not be warm enough, as there is no central heating. This was certainly not the case, with the fireplace and the electric heaters in the bedroom it was nice to stay. The house was clean and fully equipped. It is remote, but is a good base for exploring the area. The road to the house is a bit challenging, but ultimately doable. Would definitely recommend the house!

We spent a few very quiet days as a family, in a very quiet rural environment. The owner was very attentive and very kind to us. On the last day we had to leave the house at 12:00. He even let us leave at any time.

Very easy communication with the owners.

It was a fantastic house high in the mountains. From the meeting point (café Sayalonga) you reach the house via steep roads with hairpin bends. You definitely need a strong car here and be used to driving in the mountains. The house was a solid 10. Only we were unlucky. There were problems with the electricity grid. Because of this we could not use all the facilities. Surrounding houses were also affected. Fortunately the owner lives nearby, because we could use his solar panels, so we still had electricity. The new holidaymakers are not affected by this, the owner has now ordered a battery for the solar panels.

Everything went well. The host was always available and perfect. Great nightlife in Jakusi

Location away from the city and quiet. 20 minutes from Malaga. Views of the orange groves. The bedding is comfortable and the house is well equipped. Designed for a country retreat.

Very nice villa, beautifully situated, with very friendly helpful owners! Equipped with all conveniences, very complete. Highly recommended! The only comment you can have on this beautiful villa is the road to it because it was not in the best condition, partly due to the Dana.

Very peaceful and beautiful Villa with all the facilities we required. 14 minute drive down a steep track which is fine if You do not want to leave too often the views were worth it though.

Fantastic house with absolute privacy both inside and around, everything is very clean and no detail is missing, good quality and very clean sheets and towels, with a good smell, very complete with practically new kitchenware, well equipped with air conditioning with heating, in total places and the exteriors are very well cared for, we had an excellent New Year's Eve, thank you very much to Paqui and Juan who were attentive in case we needed anything and thank you for the details for free, absolutely recommended.

A wonderful New Year's Eve in a super equipped house with furnished rooms and common areas, a barbecue like few others see and the owners, excellent people attentive to any questions or needs that may be necessary, we will return.

The house has no address and is difficult to find. You have to drive through a river on an unpaved path. The outside space is great. Beautiful view. The inside is outdated. The mattresses need replacing. One burner of the stove does not work. More heating is needed inside. Or more air conditioning, which is only available in one bedroom. You can walk to Nerja in half an hour or in 5 minutes by car.

The house is super well equipped, it's a shame that since it was winter we couldn't really enjoy the pool and the outdoors, but we'll be back.

We felt very comfortable in this beautiful property! We enjoyed many hikes in the area and made many trips to the nearby hiking and climbing areas and sometimes to the coast. The accommodation is absolutely idyllic in the beautiful hills of Andalusia. We found everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Even in winter, it was pleasantly warm in the garden and on the terrace when the sun was shining. Since it was a bit cool in the evening in the apartment, we also really appreciated the cozy pellet stove. It was also comfortable at night in the bedrooms thanks to the mobile radiators and the air conditioning with heating function. The oranges from the countless orange trees were ripe and extremely tasty! The best oranges definitely come from Spain! The accommodation is easy to reach and the walk in the Andalusian hills is very relaxing. Juan gave us a warm welcome on arrival and showed us everything.

Very nice place both calm and secluded while being close to the beach and the town of Torrox (4.2 km). The market, on Monday morning, with good local products including mangoes 🥭 and 100% organic avocados 😊. Good restaurant on Manbo beach 😊 Given the difference in altitude (230 m) it is advisable to rent a vehicle 🚗. Very good 👍🤩

Quiet and easily accessible place, cosy and spacious common areas, the house has a lovely light and is quite well equipped. The owner and the person in charge of giving us the keys were very attentive and friendly.

Beautiful location with a great house. The only thing that should have been described is the route to the house, this is a bit more than a dirt road and you really have to take into account that you have a good car.

We spent a few days of vacation and Christmas very quietly, we had no internet connection, the wifi signal was bad. Very friendly owners!

Everything is perfect. The only downside is the location, since it is in the heart of the Montes de Málaga, and the access road is not in perfect condition, but this is not the fault of the owners. Although the path to arrival was a bit complicated, we could get there without problems and the truth is that it is definitely worth it. The house is great, everything was fine and the owners were very friendly. We were very good with our pet and we had very good days. We will repeat it again.

House to relax and enjoy magnificent views. Access to the house is difficult but you realize afterwards that it was worth it.

The accommodation is fantastic, more beautiful and comfortable even than what you see in the photos. It has everything you need to feel at home (appliances, dishes, etc.) and the fireplace is perfect for the cold nights we spent, you don't notice the smoke at all when it's on (it also has a heat pump in each room and in the living room). We were 6 people and we were spacious in all cases, the kitchen is incredibly spacious and at the bar you can leave something without problems with the stools (although there is a huge table in the living room, so everyone can be quiet) . Its location gives absolute privacy, since it is only 2 km away. from Villanueva de la concepción along an easy to navigate path, very close to Torcal, Antequera and other points such as Ardales and Caminito del Rey that we visited. Although we could not enjoy the outside, it is simply fantastic and equipped with all the comforts. We will definitely repeat if we return to the area, Katerina is very kind and allowed us a flexible schedule both at check-in and check-out, thank you very much for taking care of both the guests and the house.
